While you play your game of thrones, we wait, as patient and confident as a crocodile for its prey. You kill each other in your foolish war for some metal chair, while you've ignored the warnings of your rangers, laughing us off as little more than myth, legends, the boogey men in children's tales. No more. We are coming, and this time their is NOTHING that will stop us.
Beautiful job! I particularly like your book!Renly and book!Stannis, as I never felt the show made them look the way I imagined. And Balon's tentacles made me laugh a little. I have to say that my favorite one is Robb Stark. His pose and the expression on his face and the placement of Grey Wind make him look pretty powerful.
Your Renly is about 5000 times better than in the show, a lot more fitting to his character in the book (though replacing the rose with a peach might have been a nice touch), but I must say I prefer the way HBO handled Stannis' appearance, as well as Tywin's. In the books, their appearances simply don't seem to match their characters. Since we're on the subject, I think Balon is the only Greyjoy who looks right in the TV series. Both Theon and Asha are just... weird.
He's a great actor, and he makes you care for the character, but it's not the same character as in the books, somehow. The Theon in the books is a lot more capable and a lot more confident, or so it always seemed to me, which made his transformation in ADWD all the more tragic. I just can't imagine I'll feel as sorry for HBO's Theon come season 4/5 as I did for the original. Also, on the subject of Asha- uh, sorry, YARA (All I could think of when I first heard the name change was "Asha, Asha, it rhymes with Osha, so we'll name you Yara! You've got to remember your name!") what were they thinking!? She is SO WRONG for the role! (Although I like her writing, with the whole part with defying Balon to look for Theon at the end of Season 3... speaking of which, why is Balon still around? Shouldn't he have had his accident BEFORE the Red Wedding?)
The show separated itself from ASoIaF more and more with each season. It fells like it is a different story not related to the books. I just can't accept the fact that they changed Jeyne Westerling with a girl called Talisa and killed her afterwards. Either they totally spoiled the books (Jeyne will not play a major role in the next books) or they screwed it (Jeyne escaped with blackfish or something like that). And that they did removed Garlan Tyrell, Edric Stormthe, strong Belvas and Cold hands is another bothering point. What if one of them gets a character development in the next books? There are much more changes and i think i will stop watching the show if they continue like this.
